Classifying Animals Lesson Website

EME 6208: Interactive Media
Fall 2021

This was a final project for Interactive Media. For this project I had to create an interactive website that delivers a lesson plan on a topic of choice. I chose to create a lesson on Classifying Animals. 

​

This project was expected to meet the following criteria:

​

  • A well-organized and comprehensive lesson is presented with relevant imagery, links, and text content.

  • The aesthetic properties are completely re-created into a new look that is remarkably different from the template.

  • Includes an Instructional Video link that is accessible and effectively delivers a lesson.

  • A quiz page that is correctly embedded and has 10 complete quiz questions. 

  • Embed 3 online resources to support the lesson.

This project demonstrates my ability to create instructional materials and learning environments using a variety of systems and approaches. In order to create this lesson plan I used the following Instructional Design tools: Adobe Dreamweaver, Panapto, Adobe Photoshop.

Web 2.0 Tool Review

EME 6055: Current Trends in Instructional Technology Fall 2021

This artifact is an assignment I had for Current Trends in Instructional Design where I had to analyze a Web 2.0 tool. â€‹

​

The tool that I chose to analyze was  Parlay: a fully-online discussion tool used to have classroom discussions based on topics of choice. My review of Parlay discussed how Parlay is used, what makes it a Web 2.0 tool, how I would suggest using Parlay with students, and barriers or problems that educators might encounter when using Parlay.

​

Lastly, I had to turn my written assignment into a short multi-media tutorial explaining how to use Parlay. 

​​

This review demonstrates my ability to assess and evaluate the integration of appropriate technologies and instructional materials.

Scope of Work

EME 6235: Technology Project Mangement
Fall 2022

As part of a project management final I had to create a Scope of Work (SOW) plan for how I would manage a project. We had to come up with an idea for a project we could manage. 

​

For my project I chose to develop how I would manage an Online Reading Initiative Project where I would be responsible for managing turning 10 paper based reading lessons for grades K-2 into fully-online interactive lessons. 

 

For the SOW I outlined  the company I would be working with, the project, the project background and description, the tasks that would need to be completed, equipment and services needed, an outline for the dates to be delivered, the human resources needed and their job descriptions/responsibilites, the project goals and objectives, and an estimated schedule. 

​

This assignment demonstrates my ability to effectively manage people, processes, physical infrastructures, and financial resources to achieve predetermined goals.
