Digital Learning Activities and Learning Theories
EME 6055: Current Trends in Instructional Technology
Fall 2021
For this assignment I had to identify two digital learning activities online that were student oriented in a subject I was most interested in.

The two learning activities I chose were a Khan Academy math game and a ixl.com science learning game.
​
For each of these learning activities I had to analyze and explain the learning objective, name and give examples of which learning theory based guided the lesson, and give one strength and one weakness of the game/lesson.
​
This assignment demonstrates my foundational knowledge of the contribution of research and current theory to eudcational communications and technology.

Big Data Project
EME 6356: Big Data and Analytics
Summer 2022
This artifact is a final group project I completed for my Big Data and Analytics class. ​
​
For our project we focused on Comparing Hillsborough elementary ELL Student acheivment with statewide acheivement data. We conducted our research using the FLDOE Database. Based on the data collected we use the data models we created to interpret the data and explain the implications of our data.
​
Based on these implications we wrote an analysis of possible solutions, improvements and specific steps that can be taken to help ELLs score higher achievement levels.

Spring 2022
As a final project for Foundations of Educational Research myself and 2 other group members had to create a research proposal based on the formal research method processes used to conduct research. ​
For our project we chose to base our research proposal on Evaluation Systems and Teacher Retention.
