HIPPY Lesson Module 4

EME 6208: Problems in Instructional Design
Summer 2022

This artifact is a learning module that was created for the HIPPY Tampa organization which was in need of an online training program for their new hires. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic the organization could no longer utilize its face-2-face Power Point training and wanted USF to transfer its current training process into a fully online interactive learning training. My group was tasked with designing and creating the Role Play portion of the training for new hires.

Our team utilized the Successive Approximation Model (SAM) to design, create, and revise the Role Play Module. Through this process we met with the Subject Matter Experts (SEMs) identify the needs of the organization and how to best create a solution for their training needs. Once this was determined, we conducted a Front-End Analysis (FEA) to determine identify the client, determine the reason for the training request, examine the training requirements and identify alternative approaches, provide the client with information to meet their training needs within budget, and determine the methodologies we will use to gather data. Once our FEA was approved we created an Instructional Design Proposal (IDP) to provide the client with the topics for instruction, learning objectives, training content, assessments, and a project completion timeline. After client approval and revisions were made to the IDP an Outline/Flowchart and Storyboard were created. Once approved a design prototype was created, sent to the SEMs for review, and then the final design training was created.

This learning module exemplifies my ability to apply content pedagogy to create appropriate applications of processes and technologies to improve learning and performance outcomes. â€‹

Virtual Reality in the K-12 Classroom

EME 6055: Current Trends in Instructional Design
Fall 2021

This artifact is a final research paper submission for Current trends in Instructional Design that is based on the assessment and evaluation of the future classroom.

For this project we had to:

  • Discuss how the future classroom would be different from now.

  • Select and discuss one emerging technology that supports our vision of the future classroom.

  • Provide a concrete example of one learning lesson of how the selected emerging technology can be integrated into learning.

I chose to evaluate the future of education through the use of the Virtual Reality classroom. I focused on the future of education being taught through Virtual Reality, the potential benefits and concerns that come with teaching through Virtual Reality, and my recommendations for the future of education based on my vision of classrooms moving from brick-and-mortar based to Virtual Reality based.

This paper demonstrates by ability to use an inquiry process to assess learning and evaluate the instructuon and implementation of educational technologies.

Digital Transformation

EME 6235: Technology Project Management
Fall 2022

This artifact is a midterm project for Technology Project Management that focused on Digital Transformation. For this assignment we had to selct a written item, evaluate it, and then select the mdia and processes that we could use to transform it digitally.

For this project I chose to evaluate three tools that could digitally transform a wirtten lesson plan into an interactive fully-online lesson. The three programs I chose to evaluate were Articulate 360 RISE, Articulate Storyline, and Adobe Captivate.

I then designed a digital asset that outlined the processes that one should go through when determining which digital transformation tool would be best for their online learning project/lesson.

This project demonstrates my ability to select media, technology, and the processes for selecting and using effective educational techologies and processes based on contemporary content and pedagogy.
